- 简介:Chen Yupu is currently a professor in the Department of Oriental Art at Nankai University in Tianjin, where he also serves as a master's supervisor. He is a member of the China Artists Association and is skilled in landscape, flower-and-bird, and figure painting. His artistic concept is heavily influenced by Daoism and Buddhism, advocating for naturalness and the idea of effortless painting. His style is simple and plain, avoiding overly detailed and intricate designs. Chen Yupu dedicates himself to the study of traditional Chinese thought and culture, taking nature as his teacher and emphasizing the importance of being free from distracting thoughts in painting. The combination of his northern temperament and the nourishment of southern landscapes has shaped his art into a style that is simple, powerful, and spiritually dynamic.
