    Zhang Hongfei

    Zhang Hongfei, born in 1950 in Yitong, Jilin Province, graduated from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1977. He was formerly the Vice Chairman of the Jilin Provincial Artists Association and the Vice President of the Provincial Academy of Painting. Currently, he is a member of the China Artists Association, a National First-Class Artist, a research fellow at the China Academy of Art and the China National Academy of Painting, a master's supervisor at the China Academy of Art, and the Vice President of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Research Association under the Ministry of Culture. He is also recognized as an expert receiving special government allowances from the State Council. In 1997, Zhang was honored as one of the "Top 100 Figures in Chinese Painting" by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Artists Association.

    The Dawn Crow of the Rooster

    Kang Ning

    Kang Ning was born in 1938 in Yixian County, Liaoning Province. His brother, Kang Yin, is an expert in contemporary Chinese ancient characters, ancient seals, engraving, calligraphy, and painting. In his youth, Kang Ning learned to paint flowers and birds freehand, showing exceptional skill. He studied at the Beijing Arts and Crafts Institute, focusing on sketching from life to develop a solid foundation and meticulous technique. At the age of 24, he became a student of the master Chinese painter Li Kuchan, studying large-scale freehand flower-and-bird painting. For over 20 years, Kang Ning immersed himself in the teachings of Li Kuchan and later received personal guidance from him for more than a decade. Diligently practicing, Kang Ning inherited the true essence of Li Kuchan's art. He is also a fellow disciple of the renowned painter Fan Zeng.

    Winding Paths to Secluded Places

    Zeng Xianguo

    Zeng Xianguo was born in 1956 in Qingzhou, Shandong Province. He is currently the Dean of the Qingdao Painting Academy, a first-class artist, a member of the China Artists Association, and the Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association. He is a distinguished expert enjoying a special lifelong allowance from the State Council. In 1997, he was awarded the title of "Top 100 Artists in the Chinese Painting Circle" by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Artists Association. He has participated in the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th National Art Exhibitions and has won awards for excellence. In 2004, he was awarded the "Huang Binhong Academic Award" by the Chinese Academy of Arts. Many of his works are housed in the China Art Museum, the Chinese National Academy of Painting, the Great Hall of the People, Zhongnanhai, and Tiananmen Gate Tower. His works were on board the successful return of the Shenzhou VI spacecraft, and he was invited to participate in a large-scale Chinese painting creation at Zhongnanhai by the State Council. His work "Lao Mountain's Nine Waters Scenery" hangs in the Huairen Hall meeting room at Zhongnanhai. He has published over ten monographs, including "The Works of Zeng Xianguo" and "Zeng Xianguo's Fine Collection of Landscape Paintings."
